VRANKEN BELONGS TO FAMILY GROUP VRANKEN-POMMERY MONOPOLE.
VRANKEN POMMERY MONOPOLE sells 20 million bottles a year worldwide Champagne2 million bottles of port and 46 million bottles of wine. With subsidiaries throughout Europe and the United States, representative offices in Japan and Latin America, the Group is well established in the market. The company offers a unique portfolio for champagne brands - a portfolio that serves all segments.
Since its foundation by Paul-François Vranken, VRANKEN POMMERY MONOPOLE has become the second largest champagne producer.
With the creation of the Champagne VRANKEN in 1976 was the first decisive step towards the success of the company. In 1983, the brand Champagne CHARLES LAFITTE was added. Finally, the acquisition of the Château des Castaignes in the Champagne region followed. The dragonfly pond of the estate gave its name to another important Champagne in 1985: DEMOISELLE - as dragonflies are affectionately known in France.
In 1996 the international brand HEIDSIECK & Co MONOPOLE was acquired. This company was founded in 1785 in Champagne. Since 1999 the port wine house ROZÈS has been part of the French champagne and wine group VRANKEN POMMERY MONOPOLE. The acquisition of the POMMERY champagne house in 2002 brought VRANKEN POMMERY MONOPOLE to the second place of champagne producers. Today the brand is represented in 100 countries.
VRANKEN POMMERY MONOPOLE continued to grow and took over the Quinta de Monsul, based in Douro Superior, Portugal. The company is known for the highest quality of its wines; especially the red wine, which is mainly produced from Touriga Nacional, enjoys a particularly good reputation. In 2004, VRANKEN POMMERY MONOPOLE established a "Division Vins" with the task of perfecting the portfolio of champagne brands with branded wines from unique and typical regions. The aim is to create an exceptional and distinctive product range that will delight a wide range of wine and champagne lovers alike.
The merger of VRANKEN POMMERY MONOPOLE and Domaines LISTEL means a profitable convergence of quality characteristics: since July 1, 2005, VRANKEN POMMERY MONOPOLE has taken over the marketing and distribution of Domaines LISTEL wines worldwide. Domaines LISTEL is the number 1 French rosé, gris and sand wines, of which 2006 46 million bottles have been sold. And it is always about only one thing: the creation of great wines and champagnes - a task that can only be fulfilled with a lot of dedication.
All the houses, VRANKEN POMMERY, ROZÈS and LISTEL use highly developed modern technology to offer wines of the highest quality. Whether they are called Prestige Cuvées, Vintages or Gris de Gris, they all have one thing in common: they fascinate wine lovers on all five continents.
VRANKEN POMMERY MONOPOLE wants to increase the turnover of its brands worldwide, and this naturally also applies to Domaines LISTEL, because Domaines LISTEL now belongs to the portfolio of VRANKEN POMMERY MONOPOLE together with Champagne POMMERY, VRANKEN, DEMOISELLE, CHARLES LAFITTE, HEIDSIECK & Co MONOPOLE and Porto ROZÈS.
