Balance or balanced

An important term among wine connoisseurs, which describes in a wine the balance of several factors. A wine which presents itself in its class and type in such a way that no component dominates too much and no component (expected to be typical of certain wines) is too lacking is considered balanced. A balanced wine does not have to be an expensive, 'great' wine either, but should simply present itself as it should for its class and type.
