53 Champagne brands are described exactly on the following pages. These are pretty much all available brands that are for sale. If you are missing a brand or if you are the producer of a champagne brand that we have not described or reproduced correctly, we would be pleased to hear from you.
From France, exactly from the wine region of Champagne, the champagne is cultivated and pressed according to strict, fixed rules. In the French one speaks also of "vin de Champagne" in the German one it belongs to the genus sparkling wine.
Champagne is THE delicacy when it comes to festivities in this world. It is one of the noblest drinks and will not be missing at any first-class event. Through a second fermentation the "Méthode traditionnelle or Méthode champenoise" is created - understandably expressed: the carbonic acid, i.e. the bubbly in champagne.
Champagne may only be called this way if it has really been produced and pressed according to the above-mentioned champagne methods (Méthode traditionnelle or Méthode champenoise) and the grapes are from Champagne. The production must also take place in Champagne, which is what the French appellation d′Origine Contrôlée requires.
